Yes it’s true, many are calling it “The Manhattan-ization” of Boston. With new developments such as The Residences at the Mandarin Oriental and the upcoming (Aug 2009) W Hotel & Residences, Boston is becoming a hot spot for luxury real estate.
Al this does come with a price – slowly but surely rental prices have increased witht he typical 1bed going for $2500 ($3500 in a full service bldg) and $3200 for a 2 Bed. It will be interesting to see if these prices will decline with today’s economic crisis, but as of right now I have not seen a sign of prices dropping.
